Overview

It’s all about impact. As an organisation we want to create impact, and to do that we need to have smart systems that generate great forward-looking business intelligence in real time. We need to collate and interpret many different data sets to inform the extraordinarily wide variety of activities that we undertake – from reducing childhood obesity, through being a great hospital charity raising lots of money and spending it well, to managing an £800m pool of endowment assets with an active property development team. Our activities are interlinked, and we are approaching our many challenges in new and unique ways. Making good decisions to increase the amount of impact we make involves so much more than just keeping track of the financials.

Key Responsibilities

Work with the Head of Finance and Operations, internal teams and external consultants and vendors to:

• Design and configure all aspects of financial and operational data capture, management, processing, workflows and reporting in the organisation’s Salesforce.org, together with other integrated apps.

• Design and create organisation-wide business intelligence using Tableau and other reporting tools.

• Maintain and develop the interfaces between the finance system, Salesforce and Tableau.

Support the Finance and Operations Team by:

• Ensuring that all systems and processes are developed with appropriate and robust controls.

• Controlling the integrity of the systems, interfaces and data.

• Providing high quality internal team reporting.

• Proactively look for cross organisational opportunities for system improvement, process automation, efficiency gains and business intelligence enhancements.

• Provide a consistent and approachable point of contact for users and other stakeholders.

• Manage the systems on a day-to-day basis, including managing users, profiles, permissions etc.

• Devise and provide appropriate one-off and ongoing training to users.

• Devise and create system and end-user documentation.
