Job Description: 

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a hands-on Security Manager to oversee the security delivery at a flagship location in Bishopsgate, London.

The role will see you manage a team of 8 security officers in a fast-paced banking environment at its headquarters. This is brand new role, so is ideally suited to a manager who is keen to work with us and our client to develop the security offering even further.

We are looking for an experienced corporate security manager, who has a can do attitude, and excellent communications skills, that can demonstrate a proven track record of enthusing and leading security teams towards a common goal, within in a corporate location, ideally banking, but not essential.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing the delivery of site security
  • Providing quality service delivery to the client in accordance with company procedures & agreed budget
  • Ensuring that the team develops to meet succession planning needs.
  • Responsible for Health & Safety of all ABM employees and third parties who may be affected by work activities carried out within specific remit
  • Actively participating in the development of succession planning and ongoing performance management
  • Incident management and response
  • Safeguarding of various assets to include people, buildings, and information
  • Assist with the strategic planning of the security function
  • Oversee the delivery of control room services
  • Completion of staff admin, wages, holidays, appraisals
  • Cross functional working with the Corporate Real Estate Facilities teams.
  • Liaise with emergency services when required
  • Management and support of control room services
  • Provide consulting support and make recommendations to client management regarding appropriate, timely and necessary improvements or enhancements

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Current SIA License holder
  • Vetting completion in accordance with BS:7858 Standard
  • Minimum 5 years Corporate Security Management experience
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • IT Skills including, being able to use PowerPoint for presentations
  • Positive mindset
  • Team player
  • Can do attitude

Desirables

  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • P&L Experience
  • Multi-site remote monitoring experience across Europe
  • Banking or Professional Services firms corporate security experience
  • Working knowledge of C-Cure Access Control

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Demonstrated leadership skills within a corporate culture and effectiveness coaching team members and inspiring teamwork both within his/her direct areas of responsibility and laterally among other work teams.
  • Must possess strong coordination, organization and liaison skills to help consult in the design and implementation of security program strategies, and the ability to seek and gain consensus on creative solutions to complex security issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.  The successful applicant must be capable of accurately assessing needs, maintaining a calm business demeanour, and taking quick action to resolve issues.           
  • Clear and effective oral and written communication skills are critical as is the ability to promote the open flow of information by actively soliciting and listening to the ideas of others.
