The Culture Programme

The development of a Culture strategy in 2018 https://www.londonbridgeculture.com/ gave a mandate to Team London Bridge from its businesses to research and set up an arts programme for the area. This was to build ambition and capacity with arts partners and grow a unique set of projects which frame this unique area and its cultural offer. London Bridge Hive – The Venue

Team London Bridge have aspired to create a collaborative physical and virtual space in our building to connect local organisations and individuals; encouraging engagement and creativity.

Located just two minutes from London Bridge Station and five minutes from More London, this central hub is multi-functional and can accommodate workshops, training, exhibitions, showcases, consultations, meetings and events.

 

The Role:

Responsible to: Reports to the Chief Executive and Director of Arts​

The Culture Programme sits as part of a stable of work delivered by Team London Bridge including sustainability and the green environment, responsible business, safety and policing, place-shaping and place promotion. At the heart of this is the London Bridge Hive community space. The Arts Producer will work to deliver the innovative year-round culture programme with the Director of Arts. Working with stakeholders including local businesses, arts and heritage providers, artists and festival programmers to create a vibrant arts programme which builds capacity and ambition and reveals the stories of the London Bridge area

MAIN PURPOSE: The responsibilities listed below are broad and varied, therefore it is important that the applicant has the ability to lead projects, be inventive, multi-task, use their own initiative and demonstrate flexibility.

Person Specification

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience of working as an arts producer on multiple art forms.
  • Key experience as Lead Project Manager
  • Experience of Partnership Management
  • Wide experience of Artist Management
  • Excellent People skills
  • Knowledge of Fundraising
  • Excellent knowledge of the arts sector
  • Good knowledge of computer software packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Flexible and a pro-active approach to problem-solving
  • An enthusiastic and proactive approach to handling a wide variety of tasks and willingness to adapt to changing priorities as the business requires.
  • An Interest in regeneration and business partnership work is desirable
  • Must be able to provide appropriate proof of their Right To Work in the UK
  • Due to the nature of events, the candidate must have a flexible approach to working hours.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  1. Arts Programme delivery   ​
    • Alongside the Director of Arts develop and schedule culture programme across the year
    • Creative Visioning with Team London Bridge colleagues
    • Stakeholder management
    • Artist management
    • Partnership liaison (arts, heritage and festivals)
    • Manifest arts projects from concept to delivery.
    • Manage arts contracting and invoicing as required
    • Responsible for keeping updated on the arts scene and current sector developments
    • Keep records and evaluation of all projects
    • Fundraising as required
    • Risk management
    • Hands-on stage management as required
    • Be administratively self-supporting
  2. Logistics support for TLB arts events alongside partners, TLB team & Director of Arts​
    • Marketing: assist with creating content and promoting the event updates on company database, websites and social media (e.g. Love Lunch)
    • Evaluation: assist with post-event feedback implementation and data collection survey.
    • Due to the number of events, the company holds a flexible approach to working hours.
