Job Description: 

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:

General duties will require our HVAC Engineer to complete Service repairs & PPM’s to commercial heating plant and general M&E systems. Ensuring consistent operational delivery through smart working, to liaise with the Helpdesk and Contract Manager to provide excellent service delivery to our customers. We’re looking for a AC technically bias engineer with experience in both installation and service & maintenance of complex H&V, Chillers, VRF,VRV air conditioning systems.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices and in line with customers Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal & Team development.

Identify any defects found and provide quotation to carry out remedial works or quotations for new installations to line manager.

To install the replacement parts or new installations of equipment as directed. Providing quotations where required.

To provide assistance on breakdowns and support engineers when required

To respond promptly and within SLA to all reactive job request ensuring that the client and manager are kept up to speed with progress of the reactive works

Have a first time fix attitude to get issues resolved quickly and efficiently

Maintain PPE, vehicles, tools, ladders to a high standard, maintaining the professional image of our Services at all times through positive presentation, behaviours and attitudes. uniform to be worn at all times.

Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all Client representatives and our Services employees.

Ensure the provision of a Safe & Healthy working environment and promote a positive safety culture and ensure our Services safety rules are adhered to at all times.

To operate software systems promptly and effectively to ensure efficient maintenance activities.

To complete electronic Time Sheets and Job Sheets to a high standard and follow up on remedial works.

Ensure work reports, and necessary documentation is sent to the Admin team promptly within set timescales.

To attend Client meetings and provide effective communications to Contract Manger and Admin team.

 

NATURE OF WORK:

Demonstrate continuous improvement to your individual & Team performance statistics:

- First Time Fix Percentage

- Arrival within SLA

- Number of Open Jobs and Completion within SLA

- PPM completion

- Proactive jobs raised

 Ensure absence is kept to a minimum and inform Contract Manager on the first day of unplanned before your agreed start time.

Ensure all required requests are submitted within agreed timescales.

Maintain toolkit and power tools in fit for purpose condition ensuring they are tested and calibrated if required. Report loss and damage to Contract Manager.

Attend all regional meetings with Line Management.

Contribute to all the Company Objectives.

 

Person specification and Experience required: 

Minimum of 5 years’ experience

City & Guilds level 3 in Air conditioning and refrigeration

Preferable, Daikin, Mitsubishi or Toshiba Manufacture or service checker experience

F-gas

17th Edition Electrical

Asbestos Awareness

L8 Water Legionella

PASMA – as required

IPAF – as required
